Choosing a remote vibrator: handset or app?
A handset and an app are different
A remote vibrator may work with a separate handset, a phone app or both. The product category does not establish an individual model’s controls. Read its description and manufacturer instructions. Also check how to control and switch off the device with its buttons if you do not want to use a phone.
Check phone and app compatibility
Find the manufacturer’s app name and its current requirements for your phone. A similar product name does not prove app support, and not every model from one brand necessarily works with the same app. Check availability in your phone’s app store rather than relying on an old screenshot.
Distinguish a nearby connection from distance control
A Bluetooth connection between phone and device does not itself mean control from another country. Connecting with a partner over the internet is a separate feature to verify in the model and app instructions. Check which devices and connections each user needs. Remote control is not a promise of unlimited range.
Read about pairing and privacy
Before connecting with a partner, agree who will use control and how it will end. Read the app’s explanations of permissions, accounts and data use. Check instructions for disconnecting and switching off the device manually. Do not share invitations or account details with people you do not want to give access to controls.
Compare the device itself too
Alongside app support, dimensions, shape, material and straightforward care matter. Check charging, included cables or handset, and the exact water-resistance description. Phone control tells you nothing about those properties. Compare two or three models with the same questions, not just the number of app features.
Four questions before ordering
Does the model offer your preferred controls? Does it work with your phone? Is the required handset or charging accessory included? Can you disconnect and care for it according to instructions? Ask before buying if an answer is missing. Check each individual model’s description in the ERO24 category.
